A pain in there
To palliative care
In the blink of an eye

Some of My friends
Are setting sail
Losing weight
Getting frail

Other friends are
making bail
Chemo worked
Collective hail

Each of them
getting out of jail
All too soon
Or all too well

Death and breath
Two sides
Of the same coin

Every day
above ground
A blessing and
A curse
